this painting looks better in life. i know, because i see it a lot. it is true one never really knows the great work, from time to time, but then why ever really wish to know it. or as i refrain/bellow to my beloved students, "if one wants consistent understanding in the work, buy a hallmark card". the color in this piece plays games in the space all the time. i am lucky to look often. thankfully, never bored.T
